In the presence of a Senator, TD’s, Councillors, Mickey & Minnie Mouse and the legendary Sandy Kelly the 2019 Edition of the parish magazine was launched at Ireland West Airport Knock last night.
Fr. Sherlock kicked off the evening with a rousing rendition of ‘Kilkelly Ireland’, this was followed by the official launch of the 13th Edition of the magazine by singing legend Sandy Kelly who went on to entertain the hundreds in attendance.
The magazine which is available to purchase at local businesses and from committee members is growing each year and thanks to the tireless effort of Carmel Williams and her dedicated team, we can look forward to a book of memories for the year gone by. We also have some exciting news to follow…
Each year the magazine holds a schools competition and once again the standard was high, the winners were presented their prizes this year by Mickey & Minnie Mouse (with help from Mayo Mascots)
Local musicians and singers also provided some tunes as the hospitality from Ireland West Airport Knock flowed.
A tradition each year the committee does is to donate to a local cause/charity, which is such a great gesture, this year it was Martin Gallagher and the Irish Motor Neuron Disease.
On behalf of the parish I’d like to say a huge congratulations to the committee, a thank you to all the sponsors of the event & monster raffle and to Ireland West Airport Knock.
Our bit of exciting news will follow the photos and videos from the night, so please check them out below and scroll down to the bottom of this article…
