Connacht Rugby only went and won the Pro 12 championship on Saturday 28th May 2016… After a 131 years of existence and almost being wound up by the IRFU, Connacht Rugby won the prestigious Pro 12 tournament final in Edinburgh against the mighty Leinster in magnificent fashion.

The champions arrived back to the West in the early hours of Sunday morning to a rapturous welcome from hundreds supporters at Ireland West Airport Knock.

With words of thanks from the captain and head coach, the team then sang to the crowd The Fields of Athenry, before Pat Lam offered some awesome advice to the kids “believe in yourself, work hard and your dreams will come true”

I popped over to Ireland West Airport at 1am this to play a small part of welcoming our new champions, savor the atmosphere and of course I brought the camera, enjoy!
