An alert has been issued in the towns of Ballina and Killala in respect of two men, travelling in a white van, claiming to be Irish Water employees and seeking entry to private dwellings ‘to check pipes and water meters’.
Anybody with information should contact Ballina Garda Station at (096) 20560 or your local Garda Station.
