Kilmovee Parish Bulletin – 9th April

He’s about five I’d say – visiting for Easter and with his grandparents when I called to see them on the First Friday visits.

As we began our prayers, he pointed to the Cross on the table and he said “Jesus died”! I asked him what happened and he said with the enthusiasm and urgency of Teresa Mannion in a storm ……

“Jesus was put on the cross and then in a cave and ……. then he gets alive!”

There’s a boy who has heard and made his own of the Story of The Lord’s Passion. As we read the “Long Gospel” this weekend, with its dialogue and description of the final days of Jesus’ life, it’s reassuring to know that the story is not going un-heeded, even by the youngest among us.

Join the parish this week, the generations of a parish, as we recount and re-live those days that are at the core – the heart – of our Christian Faith.

For Edward is right – HE IS ALIVE!
