I pray not only for these but for those who, through their words, will believe in me. May they all be one. Father, may they be one in us, as you are in me and I am in you … (John 17:20-22)

A heartfelt prayer by Jesus takes centre stage in our Liturgy this weekend. He is praying for unity and that his disciples will neither be confused or scattered, following the scandal of the Cross and the finding of the Empty Tomb. He knew that God the Father would hear his prayer.
