Everyone thought … that someone else was doing it! When we were in Dublin last Sunday, one of the things I noticed was that everyone seemed to have a job and the part played was very important.
The director was a long way off, in a different studio, but was in constant contact with the floor-manager who, in turn, engaged with the cameraman and woman.
Another man was in charge of sound and tended to us all as directed. Then, of course, there was the make-up … but that’s for another day!!
Our own parish too had so many different people working in different ways to make a piece of our gathering and it was wonderful to see. The point! We all have a role to play in life.
Sometimes we can think if we don’t do it that it will be done by someone else. There are times this is the case but quite often the truth lies in us appreciating our own specific role and taking pride in doing the best we can.
Sometimes when we think someone else is doing it, we might be wrong!
