Welcome to our summary of December & 2015. Firstly I’d like to wish all our friends from all over the world (and closer to home) a Very Happy, Healthy & Prosperous 2016.
It turns out that last year was our best ever year online but before we get to the overall figures here is how the site performed in December.
How Kilmovee Info did in October:
- 23 articles published
- 5655 page views
- 4 emails answered/forwarded
- 92 hours spent updating site (including attending events)
- Over 970 articles published on the site
- Facebook at 573, Twitter at 525 and Google+ 29
- 3800 pictures available in over 90 Albums on our Flickr
- Now on Instagram
- No downtime
- Cost of hosting is now €260 per 6 months (your support is still needed)
And when we add those to all the other months we can proudly inform you that Kilmovee Info was viewed 62,356 times (a 19% increase on 2014), that is enough to sell out 3 concerts in Madison Square Garden or 1 sell out at the Aviva Stadium. Our busiest day of the year was April 5th with 3,300 views. The most popular post that day was Results & Times – Kilmovee 10K 2015.
In 2015, there were 363 new posts, growing the total archive to 970 posts. So where did all the views come from (well I’m not going to list where they all came from but here are the top 5).
[table id=15 /]
The majority of our visits came via Facebook, Twitter, Google & Yahoo as well as local and national websites.
I visited many events over the past year with camera in hand and our ‘photo posts‘ turned out to be the most popular.
As Kilmovee Info continues to grow there is still room to get more contributions on Kilmovee Info from photographers, bloggers and reviewers from around the parish (especially the younger members of the area) or within the Mayo area, if you would like more information or you know someone who might be interested… please get in touch with me ([email protected])
Clubs, committees & organisations from around the parish, are you taking advantage of the 170+ people a day that visit Kilmovee Info to advertise your events, services and information? Just use the contact us page or fire us an email to [email protected]
Thanks to the individuals, clubs & organisations who already submit information and to those who have contacted us looking for assistance and I look forward to receiving your news and emails in 2016.
Don’t forget to keep using the hashtags #kilmovee #kilkelly #urlaur #glann on social networks to help find news and information from around the parish.
Finally, I’d like to thank the organisations and individuals who have assisted with the running costs over the past 12 months, however the site still needs continuing funds (see hosting costs above) so if you can help out please click on the donate banner above and keep Kilmovee Info online, I keep the site updated voluntarily and spend hours monthly keeping you informed and any donation really does help with running costs only.
