Last year saw a record number of entrants and this year the organizers want to smash that and raise a record amount for the two worthy causes.
Today (Saturday 14th January 2017) marks a little over 90 days until this years Kilmovee 10k, preparations are well underway for the 8th Kilmovee 10K in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice and Kilmovee Shamrocks GAA on ‘Holy’ Saturday 15th April @ 1pm.
Registrations are now open and this year you can register up to 5 people at the same time, exclusively on Kilmovee10k.com. To celebrate this if you register 4 (in a single transaction) or more you’ll get a little discount, ideal if you’re entering a team from a running club or school.
Talking of schools don’t forget to represent your school or college as a teacher or student in our Michael McDonnell Shield which recognizes the vital role of Teachers in the life of the community, and is an extra competition within the main race with no extra fee. (open exclusively to Teachers & Students from any school, anywhere.) For more see here.
So far you have helped raise an absolutely awesome total of €42,583.80 on behalf of the Hospice through your registration fee, donations and sponsorship cards. Thank you!
If you’re new to 10K’s why not check out the new ‘Health & Tips‘ section on our website, we be adding content over the coming weeks… And if you need a little more convincing check out the video at the top of the page.
Kilmovee 10k continues to grow and that is due to our friendly volunteers on the day and the dedication of our small but dynamic committee and race director John Roddy. A huge thanks to everyone involved in the organization past, present and we’d welcome new people on the day and in the weeks leading up to this years event. (more details on this soon)
Make Kilmovee 10k your must do this year, you’ll be glad you did!
Don’t put if off…
