Kilkelly is to hold their first-ever St. Patricks Day Parade. On Sunday 17th March @ 5.30pm
Kilkelly’s St. Patrick Day parade will be running in conjunction with Mayo Roscommon Hospice and will be holding a bucket collection on the day to raise much-needed funds and support for the organisation.
The parade will be starting at 5.30pm sharp. We would request that all groups, floats etc would be there prior to this time.
There will be a perpetual cup up for grabs in the battle of the local villages and or local estates. There will also be a prize for the best float in all other categories.
There will be a registration evening on Thursday 14th of March at 8.30pm in Kilkelly FRC for any groups, organisations, volunteers etc willing to take part in the event. More details to follow prior to this date.
Volunteers are still needed for the event so please contact Kilkelly FRC on 094 937 0653 or Kilmovee FRC on 094 – 964 9814 if you are interested in lending a hand.
Finally, there will be Facebook Competitions over the next couple of weeks to be in with a chance to win tickets to the big red barn taking place in Kilkelly on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of April. These are kindly donated by Dublin2Mayo Tractor run.
I’ve been invited to attend and therefore I will be there camera in hand to capture this historic event.
