Kilmovee is a small village and civil parish in County Mayo, Ireland. It is on the R325 road, midway between Kilkelly and Ballaghaderreen.

Population: 613 (2002)

A small village & parish with a huge amount going for it, the following list contains most of the organisations, clubs, groups, schools and churches.

We have an great deal to be proud of, the drive and passion of volunteers (and staff) who work tirelessly to provide so much. But, that said there is never enough people who can assist. commvolunteers-work

There are committees that are in need of assistance the Community Council for example, which over the years has been the backbone of many initiatives including the swimming pool, tidy towns, St Particks day float, name stones that we see today and much more. Sports clubs need coaches, committee members. Bingo needs weekly attendees and assistance each Sunday.

Joining a committee doesn’t mean that you’ll be “Taking on another job” but what it does mean is that you’ll be giving to the community a little knowledge and time to ensure these activities for both young and older will survive. If you can help out contact a committee member or send us an email and we’ll pass it on.
