Lately, we told you we are changing the way we’ll be bringing you photos & bulletins etc…
This will eventually reduce the space required for storing them on our server which is almost at 25gb… this can not be sustained without a massive investment and unfortunately, that doesn’t seem likely to happen.
But, with a few small steps, we can help ourselves to some savings, however, I will have to make some sacrifices to some of the current content available on the site. Some will be short term as changes are being implemented and some content will be permanently deleted off the site.
This doesn’t mean they are gone forever, just not available right here.
What are the changes going to be?
Galleries / Photos from events where there are more than 10 images taken will still be hosted on our Flickr account but the way you will see them will change to the following:
Small Galleries will be uploaded to Amazon AWS and will be viewed like this
Bulletins will also be uploaded to AAWS and embedded like this
Videos will look like this
As you see there are a few changes but hopefully for the best. I will be ensuring that James also knows how to upload and embed the new system over the next few weeks so continuity continues. Please bear with us during the transition as somethings may be missing I am confident that there shouldn’t be any issues but if you notice something not right let me know on firstname.lastname@example.org
